1. About Our Services
Jay Gerring / The Joy of Consent™ offers relationship and intimacy empowerment coaching, workshops, and educational programs. Our services are not a substitute for licensed mental health therapy, medical advice, or crisis intervention.
2. Eligibility
Our services are available to adults aged 18 and older only. By engaging with us, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Informed Consent & Voluntary Participation
All sessions, workshops, and programs are entered into voluntarily. You retain the right to withdraw consent, pause, or discontinue participation at any time, without penalty or judgment. Some offerings may include consensual, non-sexual touch, which will always be negotiated in advance via clear written or verbal agreement.
4. Payment & Fees
Session and program fees are communicated clearly before any agreement is entered. Payment plans may be available for multi-session programs by prior arrangement. Confirmed payment schedules are binding; services may be paused if payments are not received per written agreement.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full. Workshop registrations are generally non-refundable but may be transferable; specific event terms will be stated at registration.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, course materials, and program frameworks — is the intellectual property of Jay Gerring / The Joy of Consent™, unless otherwise attributed. The Wheel of Consent® is the intellectual property of the School of Consent and is referenced here in accordance with their practitioner guidelines. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any of our content without express written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Joy of Consent™ and Jay Gerring shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in our services or use of this website. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the services in question.
8. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality regarding your identity and the details of our work together, except where required by law (e.g., imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult).
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in Travis County, Texas.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
